Manufacturing & quality
Checked by our own people, from timber to container.
Haleywood keeps its own offices in China and full-time QC agents in our factories, so every order meets international standards before it ships.

During production, each report is filed with dozens of photos of the processed material so defects are caught early. Recyclable packaging reduces our impact on the environment.

Recyclable cartons, foam-protected edges and plywood bases on casegoods so nothing is crushed in transit.
02Materials
Know your timber
Oak
Very durable and wear resistant. Stains and finishes beautifully, and its natural tannins resist decay.
Elm
Hard and stiff with excellent shock resistance. Interlocked grain prevents splitting.
Ash
Strong and elastic with good dimensional stability. Steam-bends without losing strength.
Birch
Versatile and fine-textured. Natural waxes make it durable and water-resistant.
Chinese Walnut
A tough, medium-density hardwood that polishes to an exceptional finish.
Rubberwood
Light in colour, machines well and is ecologically sustainable.
03FAQ
Questions from buyers
What materials do you work with?
We produce furniture in a wide variety of timbers, including oak, elm, ash, birch, Chinese walnut, rubberwood and tropical hardwood, and we are committed to developing sustainable, eco-friendly furniture.
Can a design be made in a different timber?
Yes. Most Haleywood furniture is made in oak, and our designs can be manufactured in many other timbers. Tell us the design and the timber you have in mind.
What kinds of furniture do you produce?
Dining sets, sideboards, bookcases, bedroom sets, coffee tables, television cabinets and a wide range of small and occasional furniture.
How is furniture protected during shipping?
Every piece is cartoned with foam protection on the wooden edges to absorb impact during loading and unloading. Casegoods also sit on a plywood frame, so forklifts lift the frame and the carton is never crushed.
How do you ensure quality?
Our full-time quality assurance staff follow each order from start to finish: checking raw materials, carrying out several work-in-progress inspections and a final inspection before shipping.
